Saturday 17th September was the first official game of the 22/23 Season which saw the U11s away at Alton.
Both sides honoured the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with a one-minute silence at the start.
With a bigger pitch, an increase in numbers and change of format to 9v9 and introduction of off-sides the girls all played amazingly throughout.
We had 3 debuts in the team; Bobby, Paige and Poppy however, all the girls work well together and the opposition wouldn’t have known this game was their first as part of the team.
The U11s consistently pressed forward in attack and maintained a strong defence. With Evie as Team Captain we saw Rosie, Ruby and Jessica on the score sheet this week. The opposition nominated Jessica as PoTM after seeing her take on 3 players and stick the ball in top bins which ultimately secured the game at FT.
