It was a very early start to the day away against PCL FC Diamond U10s and with only one sub on our side throughout the match it resulted in plenty of girls ‘putting in a shift’.
The girls played really well in what was a very physical game against a team physically bigger than them all. We had the odd cry or tumble but the girl’s resilience and determination meant that they were always keen to go again!!
After the first quarter we could have been 2 maybe 3-0 up but we couldn’t convert our chances despite the most valiant of efforts from them all. We showed good spirit to come back in the second half to take the lead. A massive well done to our number 9- Bella B for getting both goals and another POTM award. Also a special mention to our number 7- Maisy who fancied trying her hand at goalkeeping for the second half and performed really- well making vital saves to keep us in the game.
At the whistle we finished the match with a fabulous draw, the score being 2-2. Well done to all the girls, the Coaching Team look forward to seeing you all Friday!
